Application of 240mm xlpe 4 core armoured cable
This product is suitable for use in rated AC voltage (U0/U) 0.6/1kV system transmitting and distributing circuit. With the metal armour layer, it is suitable for mains, sub main and sub circuits unenclosed, in conduit, buried direct or in underground ducts for buildings and industrial plants where mechanical damage may occur.
Used in electric power plants, transformer stations, industrial plants,  metropolitan networks and in other electric plants, same as for connection of signaling devices in industry, traffic and similar.

Advantage Property for Use (XLPE insulation) of 240mm xlpe 4 core armoured cable:
It is far better than all property targets of PVC insulated power cable and has overcome the shortcomings of physical and chemical cross-linkage, and completely reaches or surpasses GB and IEC technical property value.
The allowed max .cable conductor work temperature is 90℃;urgent excess work temperature is 130℃ for short circuit(5s), max. conductor temperature is 250℃. The environmental temperature for laying cable should be not less than 0℃. If laying under 0℃, the cable should be preheated.
The cable bend radius for single core should be not less than 12 times of overall cable diameter; for multi-core cable, not less than 10 times of overall cable diameter.

The current-carrying capacity is large and not limited by drop during laying .

 XLPE cable has high electric strength, mechanical strength, high-ageing resisting, environmetal stress resisting antichemical corrossion, and it is simple construction, using convenient and higher operating of long term temperature. It can be laid with no drop restriction.

Various of flame-retardant and non-flame retardant XLPE cable can be manufactured with three technology(peroxide, silane and irradiation cross linking). The flame-retardant cable covers all kinds of low-smoke low-halogen low-smoke halogen free, and non-smoke non halogented and three classes of A, B, C.

XLPE power cable is used to transmit and distribute power in power transmission and distribution system of 35kV or lower. It is generally applied to the fields including power, construction, mines, metallurgy, petrochemical industry and communication in complete replac of oil immersed paper insulated power cable and in partial replac of PVC insulated power cable. 
 
Standard of xlpe insulated armoured power cable

Structure of xlpe insulated armoured power cable
Conductor: copper oraluminum to form the stranded conductor. 
Insulation:The conductor are insulated with a layer of extruded PE/PVE/XLPE/Rubber compound.
Filling:The assembled cable is filled with a layer of PVC compound in order to fill the interstices between the cores and render the cable round. 
Armoring: Consists of single layer of galvanized steel wires of appropriate size. 
Sheathing: An outer protection of extruded PVC compound is applied over the armor.

33kv XLPE power cable Application:


It is used to transmit and distribute power in power transmission and distribution system of 35kV or lower. It is generally applied to the fields including power, construction, mines, metallurgy, petrochemical industry and communication in complete replace of oil immersed paper insulated power cable and in partial replace of PVC insulated power cable.

The highest allowed operating temperature of conductor for long-term working is 90oC. In short-circuit (Max. Long-term is no more than 5 seconds). The highest temperature for conductor is no more than 250.
D.C Resistance of the conductor complies with the stipulations of GB/T3956-1997.
The environment temperature should be no lower than 0 when lay. Otherwise it should be preheated.
The cable is laid without horizontal drop limit. The Min. Bending radius of three-core cable should be no smaller than 12 times of cable outer diameter.
Working Frequency Voltage Test:.

For cable with Uo of 3.6kV or lower: 2.5Uo+2kV/5min without puncture.
For cable with Uo of 3.6kv~18kV: 3.5Uo/5min without puncture.
For cable with Uo of 21kV and 26 kV: 2.5Uo/30min without puncture.

Partial Discharge Test: The discharge volume should be no more than 10pC under 1.73Uo for the cable.

Installation

This XLPE insulated power cable can be installed in duct, tray or direct burial. It is recommended that the installation instructions indicated by the Local Electric Code, or any equivalent, be followed,so that the safeguarding of persons and the integrity of the product will not be affected by eciencies in the installation.

The products are mainly complying with IEC 60502 standard, also can be produced according to OEM requirements and other standards, such as BS standard, DIN standard, ASTM standard, etc.

Voltage grade is up to 35kv, cross-section area can be up to 400 sqmm (copper or aluminiun conductor). Conductor long-time operating temperature is 90 degrees. In short circuit, conductor highest temperature should be not more than 250 degrees.

Insulation
Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) is used in a number of power cables because it has good water resistance and excellent electrical properties. Insulation in cables ensures that conductors and other metal substances do not come into contact with each other.
Armour
Steel wire or tape armour provides mechanical protection, which means the cable can withstand higher stresses, be buried directly and used in external or underground projects. The armouring is normally connected to earth and can sometimes be used as the circuit protective conductor ("earth wire") for the equipment supplied by cable.
Sheath
a black PVC sheath holds all components of the cable together and provides additional protection from external stresses.
